There is no charge per meg but rather per segment charge as described below:
The bandwidth usage is worked out as follows:
We take, over a period of 30 days, your "worst" 8 hours. In other words, the 8 hours that have used the most amount of bandwidth, per hour. This we add up, and divide by 8. This gives us an idea of how many 64k Leased Lines we would have to install to give you the same level of service (i.e. Speed)
This may sound high, but if you take the average dial-up speed (33.6k) which allows you to download at a speed of approximately 4k per second, you would need 16 users to continuously download at a constant rate, for 24 hours, to make 64k usage. Some clients have over 200 WWW sites running off one single machine, and have not yet reached the 64k mark yet.
We have one major stipulation on server hosting: The server has to be rack-mountable.
